With over 20 years in the Real Estate Industry and having worked at two different companies, I have been in the business long enough to know that most agents don't have the full knowledge it takes to be successful.
Most large companies just offer classes and set you up with a mentor who in turn gets part of your commission. Unfortunately, this is not the type of business you learn from in a classroom situation or just whenever your mentor is available. The best way to learn is hands on with someone knowledgeable by your side backing you any hour, any time of the day. Above and beyond being successful in our industry, most importantly you want to try to limit and minimize your risks and liabilities. We are committed to "local knowledge." We know our market and the factors that shape it. We are committed to being leaders in our industry and our community. We are committed to maintaining our reputation for integrity and honesty in all our dealings. We represent clients enthusiastically and fairly. We want agents to succeed.
Many companies want you to succeed at their standard and not your own. We don't do that. You set the amount of business you want to do and if you achieve that, then you're your own top producer. I decided to forego any franchise so that we have a company where everyone is a winner. No In-House competition, No desk fees, phone fees, copy fees or company fees. We have a beautiful store front location offering great exposure to the company.
Although I worked on a team, I still managed listings, I was a buyers agent and then opened a very successful transaction coordinating company. It was with that company that I networked with over 1oo agents a month, 50 lenders and 50 escrow officers. In the past few years, I have grasped a true knowledge of our industry above and beyond what any other broker could obtain, let alone another real estate professional. I saw creative ways agents wrote contracts, I questioned lenders and escrow officers as to why certain things are done to further my knowledge in our industry. I worked with just about every REO company out there and have a true understanding of the foreclosure contracts. It is important to me that we are in tune with the current here and now of real estate. Diane, Kathy and I have mentored and shared our knowledge with lots of agents over the years.
